I'm always the first one to volunteer to drive. Road trips? Me. I can drive 12 hours straight to Colorado, no problem. Here's what I don't like. I don't like heavy traffic in an unfamiliar place. Dallas? Wanted to cry. 21 lanes of traffic near the airport... why??? Houston? Oh, hell no! Their highways come straight out of a Dr. Seuss book. So Saturday I will be landing in Boston to get to PTown. Should be interesting. Last time I was in Boston, I was visiting a friend and he's from there so it wasn't a problem. He even struggled a bit with the road construction every 50 feet. So I'm on my own this time. I gotta get from Logan to PTown in the least trafficky way. I need to update my GPS and tough through it. I'm crazy behind the wheel. Truly a defensive driver. I got a mid-size car so that I could zip in and out, but still be big enough to survive in case a semi hits me. Yes, these thoughts go through my head ALL THE TIME. Welcome to me!

The good thing about Mondays is that Castle is back on the air. I wasn't super happy with the season premiere, but I'm going to give it a bit of time. For the record, I hate cliffhangers. If I invest my time into something, I expect peace at the end. Even if it's bad, I want closure. I gave up on other shows like Lost and The Dome because I was too nervous to stay invested. It's like watching a Ben Stiller movie. If I've chewed off all my nails by the end of it, forget it. I like fluffy, happy endings with rainbows and unicorns. Now Castle had a weirdish ending last season, and the first episode was eh. I just hope they don't drag this out, too, or else they will lose this fan, too.
By the way, does Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) remind anybody of anyone???? ;) Sure, sure, the beautiful leaves and the crisp air - all nice things, but the best thing about fall is .... a nice cup of tea! It's too hot to drink during spring or summer months... winter, you drink it only to get warm quick... but the fall... the fall is the right time of year to really enjoy the tea experience! You get to appreciate the taste. The true taste. Not the "I'm so cold, let me wrap my hands around the mug and gulp this to get warm" taste, but the "let me roll this around in my mouth and savor the flavor." My favorite bag tea is probably peppermint. There are so many, but peppermint is from my childhood. Now I can get crazy with loose tea. Anything loose, really, but let's stay focused, shall we? We have several places in Kansas City that sell loose tea and I'm forever mixing them up, trying to create the perfect cup. It's an art form really. One I haven't perfected yet, but forever trying.
One of my friends said that blogging is dead. A lost art. Everybody now tweets. What words of wisdom can be generated in 140 characters or less? I think I keep my blogging pretty short and sweet. I don't get a lot of responses, but I was hoping that the reason for that is people are shy. Their written word is out there for everybody to see. Perhaps I'm a dreamer and nobody IS reading my blog.
