I haven't been to a Pride event in several years. I went to our own yesterday but didn't stay long. I think we got there too early. My friend was tired so we sat around for a bit enjoying the sun. I am so happy the rain stopped and the park dried out for the festivities. I did get information on the LIKEME Lighthouse events coming up. I want to get more involved and I think this is a good start. When I was growing up, we didn't really have a lot to do here in town. There were a few bars and I think the colleges had a few groups but really that was it. I am glad there are more opportunities now for the LGBTQ community now here in Kansas City. It was good to see so many people there supporting our Pride.
