I can see the finish line! Taste victory! Almost almost done with my manuscript!! Woohoo! This plus my new job... I need to celebrate soon! Many finales and new beginnings this year. So far so good...

So tomorrow I give my notice. I accepted a different position in a completely different industry and I'm super excited!! My boss is going to shit since I have been here so long. Talk about a blindside... Wish me luck!!!

Somebody hold me. This princess is getting a crown today! I have a feeling I will fall asleep during it. I am stupid tired right now. I have been writing most of the day and am drained. Zzzzzzzzzz

So yesterday was my birthday. Every year I ask my parents how are they old enough to have a 30 year old daughter? It makes us all feel young again. Monday birthdays are tough but it's always nice to hang out with the fam.

I love my mom. She's fantastic. Different than most because she was raised in post-WWII Germany. She learned to speak English by watching I Love Lucy.  She married my dad, had babies, and moved to the US.  Gave up her entire life, the family who raised her all for the sake of her new one. She has sacrificed, fought for us, spanked us, loved us, taught us to be strong and deserves everything I can give her. I talked to her every day on the phone, whether I want to or not. One day she won't be around and I don't want to ever regret not taking a call or dropping by for a visit.  Love your moms!  

So the sweetest woman in our office brought in a cheesecake to share with us heathens. I had to quiet down the herd. All with a straight face.

Once a year the Engineering Manager and I have lunch. Funny how it always falls on Cinco de Mayo and we always end up drinking.

I'm avoiding the clock knowing full well I need to get my ass up and get some crap done. My garage is almost a danger zone. I need to clean it up after 6 months of winter and storing things. And I would really like a cup of tea.
